SURGERY UPDATE:
Hey guys! As you may or may not know, I got my jaw surgery yesterday.
TL;DR The procedure went fine, but I’m still in for a pretty rough recovery period. My jaw is wired shut for the next two weeks, I’ve had a needle stuck in my dominant hand for the past 30 hours, and everything is generally really stiff and nausea-inducing. I can’t really eat properly either. Unfortunately this means I’ll be a bit inactive for the next few weeks, art-wise definitely, but probably general blogging-wise as well. I apologize for the inconvenience, but please bear with me as I go through the tougher stages of my recovery! And thanks to everyone who’s shown me their support!
Here are the nitty-gritty details below the cut:
MARCH 16, 2013 | adventure time
Today was amazing.
- Lunch with Anna and Chris
- Embarked on an adventure to Belle Isle with the Syndicate (minus Anna) at 2:30 which involved Ameorry & Kathleen being badasses, Lauren being a mom, hiking, group photos, chilling/drawing on a rock by the river, etc. etc.
- Left Belle Isle around 5:50 and walked back to campus in the pouring rain
- Dinner at the Village
- Apples to Apples
It’s no exaggeration to say it was one of the best days of my life. Today was one of those days I will never forget for years to come (if ever). Everything was worth it—the long walk, the rain, the dinner, yes.
I love us so much.
I couldn’t imagine art school life without these guys. I love you all so much. and this was such a great day.
